Preparing Files

Prepress plays an important role within the manufacturing aspect of the printing industry. To obtain quick and quality results, please note the following requirements to specifications.

ACCEPTED FOR PRINT: layout as specified in: Adobe Illustrator, CorelDraw, Adobe Photoshop.
File Format: PDF (in printing quality – 300 dpi), AI, EPS, CDR. Also, bitmap files TIFF, JPEG and *PNG resolution of at least 300 dpi in the color palette CMYK.

Other formats (including docx, gif) are not accepted for printing and require additional editions  (and sometimes total recreation of designs). We do offer a design service if required.

Particularly important details:

Bitmap images must have a resolution of at least 300 dpi. We can print images with less resolution, but in these cases we can not guarantee the quality of the print and do not accept any responsibilty for inadequate quality based on low resolution.

All colors must be converted to CMYK!

Black font text and vector elements must be 100% black.
Fonts should be converted to curves (especially critical for a font smaller than 9 pt).
For example, for the production of business cards measuring 90×50 mm, a model must be the size of 94x54mm; 85×55 must be 89×59.

Screenprint & foiling – designs for these two techniques must be in vector and contain solid colours. No gradients.

IMPORTANT! When receiving a design layout, OK PRINT does not bear any responsibilty for the content of a design or artwork submitted by a client. We can see, but do not have to correct grammar, spelling, syntax or semantics within files provided by the customer.
IMPORTANT! Products with two-sided printing must in a single CDR, AI, or PDF file. If each side of the layout is for individual print – the client must clarify this point before printing commences.

If you have questions about the creation of a layout – please enquire using our contact form. We will be happy to give suggestions or design the layout, fully prepared for publication in any print shop. Experience shows that a well-prepared layout makes for a quality printing finish.
